CSL - What is the chance that Gordon Naylor is confirmed as CSL's CEO before 31/12/2026?

WILL YOU SEE A CEO APPOINTMENT ANNOUNCEMENT LIKE THIS? CSL Global CEO Search Successfully Completed. We are delighted to announce that following a rigorous and extensive global search for a new CEO, and after a successful period as interim CEO Gordon Naylor has been formally appointed to the role of CEO. The board has been impressed with Gordon's leadership during his period as interim CEO which has seen ROIC improve dramactically reflecting a more rigourous disciplined approach to investment (and also a clever adjustment of invested capital through 'non-cash' write-offs). In his thorough first 90 day review of the company, Gordon found nothing wrong with the board's governance & strategy, which led to the company's cash becoming non-cash. Having worked with Brian and Andrew for over 30 years he brought a fresh view to the problem is determined to keep this strategy intact. During this appointment process the board has spoken with many of of CSL’s key investors and received overwhelming feedback that no one could do a better job than Gordon. There was some uncertainty whether this meant an empty chair could do a better job or that Gordon was the best person for the job, but it doesn;t mattter anyway because Brian and Gordon shook hands on it 18 months ago. In line with the robust governance processes at CSL, it is enisaged that after 10 years as CEO, Gordon will become the Chair and continue to ensure the strategy of our visionary leader Brian McNamee will continue unchanged for another 30 years.

CSL: Brian - He's not the Messiah - should he go?

CSL seems strategically adrift and seems to be consolidating to old ideas with the same old familiar faces around the table. Either through poor thinking, planning or implementation the outcomes from the company's strategy over the last 5 years have been /*Insert your won word here*/. Arguably, this has left the company in the weakest, most vulnerable position for decades.

CSL - Have we hit the Bottom?

1- We have definitedly hit rock bottom, the kitchen sink has been thrown at it, future earnings sandbagged. 2- Probably hit the bottom, 3- Who nows- balance It's an even bet. 4- Probably one more to go, Risks still to downside from competitive environment 5- Definitely more pain ahead before it rises again, New CEO to rebase earnings, strategic outlook uncertain, company in a product portfolio hole.
